Bruny Island hosted the 2022 Australia Day celebrations for Kingborough on Wednesday, January 26 at the Bruny Bowls and Community Club in Adventure Bay.

The event was fun for the whole family with The Sand Family performers, crazy bikes, circus skills workshops, and games for the kids.

The fantastic line-up of live music included The Blue Brothers Revival Band, Australian Made, Mezzanine, and the Great Anticipaters.

Rob Pennicott brought patrons from Hobart to Bruny Island on his Pennicott Wilderness Journey cruise boat, and gave the Australia Day address and Welcome to Country.

Volunteers from across the island community embraced the event and came forward to assist with set-up, promotion and distribution, all combining to deliver an extremely successful event.
