On Sat 15 October, Kingston Cubs went to the Lea and joined in the world’s largest Scout event, Jamboree on the Air – Jamboree on the Internet (JOTA-JOTI).
This event brings together over two million Scouts across the globe to participate in a weekend of fun and friendship.
The Kingston Cubs learnt to write their names in Morse code and practiced using walkie-talkies.
They even made connection to Scouts in New South Wales.
On Sunday 16 October, the Cubs joined in the Cub Regional Scavenger Hunt.
Using clues, they walked around Parliament House lawns, St David’s Park and Salamanca.
Kingston Cub Leader Fiona Woolley said it was “a great way to learn local history and have fun at the same time”.
