The Kingston District Garden Club Inc recently celebrated its 40th anniversary with a special gathering of invited guests and members.
MC Sunil Wickramasurya spoke about the history of the Kingston District Garden Club and its many achievements.
Convenor of the Tasmanian Garden Group Inc Heather Pryor entertained with a presentation of photos from a recent trip to Scotland she and her husband Bernard enjoyed.
The presentation featured many castles and beautiful gardens.
10-year service awards were presented to Helen Burgess, Josie Davey, Leanne Godden and Christine Kasprzak.
Stanley Kilpatrick was not able to attend to receive his award.
Morning tea was an impressive array of both savoury and sweet offerings.
Life members Carol Willson, Sue Morrell, and Yvonne Jackson marked the occasion by cutting into the scrumptious anniversary cake.
Lucky door and raffle prizes were donated from local businesses.
President Victoria Reeves thanked everyone for their attendance and presented members and visitors with a plant in recognition of the occasion.
