Levi Bush, 11, a student at Snug Primary School, won the Karting Tasmania state-wide series in his Cadet 12 class recently.
There were four rounds of racing, one at each club in Tasmania, and when the points were tallied, Levi had come out on top.
Levi’s brothers Kai and Zac are racers too.
The family regularly travels the state together to support the boys in their passion.
The Bush family discovered the cart club in 2021 and the boys love the speed, the action and the competition.
Their mum Selina said that it’s the community and friendships that appeal to her.
The boys have friends all over the state and Levi will be able to make even more when he competes in Victoria in October.
Ultimately Levi wants to be a Formula One race car driver and Selina says a lot of professional motorsport drivers got their start in go carts as kids.
