Zelda, the puppy caught in a house fire on July 13, has been recovering well thanks to the love of her family and the wonderful care of the emergency vet at Moonah and more recently, the Kingston Animal Hospital.
Tiffany Ingram, a concerned local, has been providing support to the family.
“I initially reached out to Zelda’s family when I heard of her horrific injuries to see how I could help, even though I didn’t know them,” Tiffany said.
“I have been visiting as much as possible and get extra love and kisses from my fur pal, I feel blessed.”
Tiffany extended a special thanks to everyone on Facebook, Ben from Pet Barn Kingston and Hill’s Science Diet who have donated food, bedding, boots and money for Zelda’s ongoing treatments.
“I moved to the area six months ago and can’t believe how kind and generous the people in the community are,” she said.
Zelda is now well enough to run boot-free and visits Kingston Beach where she gets recognised by people who have been following her story on Facebook.
