Ryan Hartshorn from Birchs Bay was awarded Young Innovator of the Year at the 2017 Innovative Tasmania Awards, presented at Wrest Point Casino on Wednesday, October 4.
Ryan, 32,  is the innovator behind award-winning Hartshorn Distillery at Birch's Bay, and achieved a world first in converting sheep whey, a waste by-product of cheese-making, into vodka. For the full story pick up a copy of this week's Kingborough Chronicle (Tuesday, October 10).
