Term 3 starts with a bang

Channel Christian School started the term with a bang, as confetti burst into the air to officially open two brand new classrooms.

Principal Margaret Louw said it was fantastic to have the rooms finally open.

“It was great to see the smiles on the kids faces when we launched the confetti cannons,” said Mrs Louw.

“The whole school cheered as they completed a joint count-down.

"It was an exciting morning.

“As soon as the ribbons were cut, students ran straight up onto the wooden deck, they couldn’t wait to get inside and get started.”

The new facility will provide fresh and light learning spaces for Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 classes.

“This move has meant we now have freed up other spaces for our Learning support and Art classes,” commented Mrs Louw.

The new classrooms are the first stage of the school's building program with the next stage to include a new multi-purpose hall and music room.

“As a school we have so much to look forward to” Mrs Louw said.

“The growth in enrolments this year has been fantastic and our kindergarten class for next year is looking close to capacity.

“Our new spaces have opened up opportunities for our school to continue to grow and provide a high-quality Christian education.”
