Blackmans Bay athlete's triumph

Blackmans Bay athlete Tegan Dench, 14, has returned from the World Dwarf Games in Germany a gold medalist.
Tegan won four gold medals (javelin, discus, backstroke and freestyle events) and three silver medals (shotput, swimming relay and women's basketball).
The Australian women's basketball team made it to the gold medal match for the first time ever, only losing one game to the Netherlands.
The men's basketball team came out with gold.
Parents Matt and Laetitia said seeing Tegan standing on the podium was the proudest moment for them all.
"Tegan has proven to herself that determination is worth its weight in gold," the parents said.
"She is now working her way up towards the next World Dwarf Games in 2027 and the 2032 Paralympics, with both events being held in Australia."
