Voice to Parliament at Community Hub

The Voice to Parliament Referendum took place on Saturday, October 14.
The Voice Referendum was defeated with a majority No vote.
Over 7000 voting centres were opened across Australia, including one at the Kingborough Community Hub.
Pictured Dee Beriya supported the No vote and Jill Hickie supported the Yes vote.
The Voice proposed to establish a federal advisory body of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to advise Parliament on Indigenous views.
Prepolling was also available for those who needed to vote early. 4.5 million early votes were cast out of approximately 17.5 million eligible Australian voters.
Senator Catryna visited the polling station at Kingborough Community Hub to make an early vote last week.
"This Referendum is our response to a generous request by Aboriginal and Torrest Strait Islander people to walk together for a better future, one of which all Australians can be proud," Senator Bilyk said.
Senator Claire Chandler also visited the Kingston prepoll with Senator Jonno Duniam.
Senators Chandler and Duniam discussed the risks of the proposed Vote to Parliament, indicating they were voting No.
