Mike new Probus Club president

Mike new Probus Club president

Michael (Mike) Whitehouse has been installed as the new president of Kingston Men's Probus Club, replacing Len Lambeth who held the position for the past three years.
As a member of Rotary, Mike was instrumental in setting up the Probus Club over 40 years ago and joined the club in July 2021.
Mike thanked the club for their confidence in his installation as president and paid tribute to the outgoing president, who served with great enthusiasm, saying his legacy is shown in the renewed vigour for the club's longevity with members sharing the Probus ethos of 'friendship, fellowship and fun' with potential members.
Mike said he will honour Len's legacy as the central theme of his presidency.
"My goal for 2024/25 is to achieve an increase in membership of 10 new members," Mike said.
"My committee will be implementing strategies, and with the members' support I believe this goal is attainable.
"We must do everything possible to ensure that being a member of the Kingston Men's Probus Club increases personal well-being and the club's well-being overall."
Past president Alan Clark had the pleasant task of inducting the new president, who was welcomed by a good roll-up of members at the Kingborough Community Hub.
