Rotary Club of Kingston hosted locals Jay Dolliver, Noah Walker, Jarrod Webb and Toby Webb as guest speakers at the latest meeting.
These four young men represent Tasmania in different sporting codes and were provided with some financial assistance by Rotary to participate interstate and internationally.
Jarrod Webb, Year 9 at Kingston High School, and Toby Webb, Year 8 at St Aloysius Catholic College, represented Tasmania in the Under 15 Australian Underwater Hockey National Championships held in Ballarat in January.
The National Championships gave them the opportunity to meet teams from other states of Australia as well as allowing them to showcase their abilities at a national level.
Jarrod also had the honour of being nominated as the team's vice captain.
Jay Dolliver travelled to China in July last year to play in the Jiangmen International Futsal Festival where he represented Australia in the youth men's category.
His team was very successful, winning four of their five games.
Noah Walker represented Tasmania at the Southern Cross Challenge in Victoria in January this year as part of the Basketball Tasmania State Development Program.
The team played seven games over the four days against Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia.
All of the boys were grateful for the financial support provided to them by the Rotary Club of Kingston.
