Huon and Kingston FM recently celebrated 40 years in radio at the Brookfield Shed, Margate.
David Carr played some tunes on the keyboard, followed by the band Thugs who sang between speeches by the presenters.
The festivities ended at the Kermandie Hotel with entertainment by local musicians Steve and Marjorie Gadd and Daystar Duo.
Life memberships were awarded to Peter Johnston and Richard Verrall, two gentlemen who did the groundwork to get the station started.
There was also a cake competition to supply the anniversary cake.
Kathryn Webb won the Community Award.
Iris Richter won the Hobbyist Award.
Her cake featured 40 apples for 40 years of airtime.
"We look forward to continuing to serve the community," Huon and Kingston FM Vice President Helen Lindsay said.
