Kington Probus Club car trip

Kington Probus Club car trip

Entrants from the Men's Probus Club of Kingston recently enjoyed the club's fourth annual Cryptic Car Trial.
The route is kept secret until the morning of the car trial, at which point participants are presented with a route description and a list of questions testing their observational skills along the drive.
The group of 21 departed at 8.30am after receiving the instructions and questions for the first stage, then made their way to Sorell via a scenic route.
After morning tea, they set off on stage two, which took entrants out through Pawleena, Wattle Hill and Forcett before joining up with the Arthur Highway and then on to Primrose Sands and Dunalley where lunch was enjoyed at the Bangor Vineyard Shed.
After an interesting tour of various attractions around Tasman Peninsula, the group drove to the Fox and Hounds at Port Arthur where they stayed the night after having a most enjoyable meal in the upstairs dining room.
Roelf and Kaysa De Vries were the winners of the cryptic quiz with the slimmest margin of one point.
The next morning was time for the participants to head home to Kingston after yet another car trial ably organized by Alan Clark.
Club members are already looking forward to the event next year.
