Students at Blackmans Bay Primary School have ensured Easter will be a little brighter for more than 160 locals in need. The aim of the day was to provide at least one Easter treat for each of the women and children needing crisis accommodation at Jireh House this Easter.
The women and children often arrive at the shelter with nothing but the clothes they are wearing and treats like Easter eggs are often a luxury they are unable to afford. Thanks to the generosity of the students, staff, and their families, over 160 individuals will receive at least one special gift on Easter Sunday. In addition, 40 mini gift bags of eggs were donated to the Palliative Care, Whittle Ward for patients, visiting family members and staff.
