On November 3 students in years 3 and 4 at Blackmans Bay Primary created a living wax museum for their project about bringing explorers back to life.
On display were notable explorers like Amelia Earhart, Ferdinand Magellan, Vasco de Gama, Neil Armstrong and Marco Polo.
Presenting their knowledge about explorers to family, friends and fellow students was rewarding for all students.
In the morning they set up tables in the hall and got their displays ready.
Some students dressed up as explorers and sat very still until somebody pressed the red button.
Upon pressing the button, students would jump alive and begin reading out reports, showing the explorers’ journeys on maps and the jigsaws made by students.
Visitors from the community gave positive feedback on all their hard work, and a wonderful learning experience was had by all.
A brave new world awaits
