Easter egg drive for locals in need

Easter egg drive for locals in need

Thanks to the generosity of Blackmans Bay Primary School (BBPS) students and families, Easter will be brighter for locals in need.
Over two weeks, the Blackmans Bay Primary School Student Representative Council (SRC) collected Easter eggs to be donated to Jireh House women's refuge.
Jireh House, 24 hour crisis accommodation, provides support for local women and children made homeless due to domestic violence and other life crises.
Sadly, there will be a number of women and children needing to stay at Jireh House during Easter.
Easter eggs are often a luxury these women and children cannot afford.
The great response from BBPS community means no one need miss out on Easter Sunday.
The Easter egg drive continues to be a simple and very tangible way for students to demonstrate kindness and care for our community that has a huge impact on the recipients.
New principal Penny Wilde and her administrative team supported the annual Easter egg drive, now in its eighth year.
The Easter eggs will be distributed among the families staying at Jireh House over Easter.
Pictured are BBP Student Representative Council's Harper, Tavita and Sophie with some of the donated eggs.
