The Salvation Army Kingborough brought some Easter joy with help from Kingborough Helping Hands and Huon, who supplied salmon to the Salvation Army's Thursday, March 28 lunch service.
The Salvation Army open their doors at 3 Opal Drive, Blackmans Bay every Thursday for a meal served at midday.
"Huon's donation of salmon portions to our outreach program helps us offer hope and a better direction for those who call on our services during the week," said Salvation Army Officer for the Kingborough and Huon area Roz Edwards.
"We're grateful to make sure people can enjoy a traditional fish meal."
Edna Pennicott from Kingborough Helping Hands agreed, saying "It's wonderful to be able to donate foods that are a little bit special, and salmon is a lovely gift for families during these holiday periods".
Huon donated over 300 kilograms of salmon to 10 different charities over the Easter weekend, including the Salvation Army and Kingborough Helping Hands.
