Illawarra Primary School recently got a helping hand from the Rotary Club of Kingston with some new play equipment that was installed in the Prep-Piazza area for Prep-aged children and children in wheelchairs to have some fun with.
Rotary Club members installed three garden beds, two sand boxes, murals with a marine theme, ceramic fish, a boat wheel and shipwreck and painted a big colourful snake with the letters of the alphabet.
Kerry Baker, a support teacher from lllawarra Primary School, said the project had made many children at the school very happy with the new playground equipment.
Rotary Club of Kingston’s Community Service Director Jill Sward can be contacted on 0437 176 654 if you are a community organisation, school, not-for-profit or sporting club in the Kingborough area that needs some help with a project.
